During July 2025, Rebmann expanded the Volkswagen MQB platform coverage in the commaai/opendbc repository by adding firmware version entries for the 2022 Škoda Fabia MK4. This work involved Python-based data modeling to introduce new ECU firmware entries for engine, transmission, SRS, EPS, and forward radar, enabling accurate identification and communication with the vehicle. By updating the MQB platform schema and aligning the data model to support new model-year firmware, Rebmann improved vehicle recognition and data accuracy. The contribution demonstrated depth in automotive software and embedded systems, facilitating safer integrations and reducing the need for manual validation in future deployments.
