Worked on expanding vehicle support in the commaai/opendbc repository by adding firmware version entries for the 2022 Škoda Fabia MK4 on the Volkswagen MQB platform. Focused on Python-based data modeling to introduce new ECU firmware entries for engine, transmission, SRS, EPS, and forward radar, enabling accurate identification and communication with this vehicle model. The approach involved updating the MQB platform schema to accommodate new model-year firmware, improving data accuracy and reducing manual validation. Demonstrated skills in automotive software and embedded systems, contributing to safer integrations and broader model support through commit-driven development and careful schema alignment.
