Worked on the aws-mwaa/upstream-to-airflow repository to implement a feature for selecting unassigned asset triggers directly from the database, streamlining the trigger management workflow. Leveraged Python for back end development and database management, focusing on reducing manual steps and improving reliability in trigger selection. Developed comprehensive unit tests to ensure the correctness of the new logic and performed a code cleanup pass to enhance maintainability and readability. The work addressed workflow efficiency by enabling direct database interaction for trigger assignment, supporting long-term support and maintainability. No bugs were fixed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature delivery and testing.
