Worked on improving test reliability and stability for the AvaloniaUI/angle repository by addressing environment-dependent permission issues during tarball extraction. Focused on shell scripting and testing, the developer implemented a fix that ensures all files unpacked from tarballs are world-readable, directly targeting intermittent test failures caused by restrictive permissions. This change also enhanced the visibility of SELinux warnings during automated test runs, making debugging more efficient. Using Python and shell scripting, the work reduced test flakiness and contributed to faster, more predictable CI cycles. No new user-facing features were released, with efforts concentrated on backend reliability and smoother release processes.
