Worked on the wandb/weave repository over four months, delivering features focused on data integrity, observability, and developer ergonomics. Built deterministic digest computation using Python and JSON handling to ensure reliable deduplication, and designed foundational schemas for object tagging and aliasing with ClickHouse and Pydantic. Developed end-to-end tag and alias management, improved database performance with materialized views, and reinforced CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Enhanced the Session SDK with structured logging, OpenTelemetry tracing, and robust error handling, while addressing privacy and compliance through explicit alias management and telemetry controls. Contributed to documentation and testing, emphasizing reliability and enterprise readiness throughout.
May 2026: Weave Session SDK and tracing improvements focused on ergonomics for manually-instrumented agents, richer structured payloads, and safer telemetry. Delivered explicit alias management, enhanced span metadata, and robust adapters/tests to improve data correctness, UI fidelity, and privacy/compliance. This work reduces manual boilerplate, increases reliability across backends, and strengthens enterprise readiness.

In March 2026, delivered end-to-end tag and alias management on the trace server (backend + client), introduced a stable version_index via a materialized view to improve publish/retrieve performance, and reinforced the release pipeline with CI/CD improvements. Fixed critical auth issue on PUT endpoints and expanded test coverage ensuring reliability and business value.
