Developed and published a new Homebrew formula for rpiboot, enabling streamlined USB boot support for Raspberry Pi devices through the chenrui333/homebrew-core repository. This work focused on simplifying the installation and management of the rpiboot utility, making it easier for developers and users to deploy Raspberry Pi devices with USB boot capabilities. Leveraging skills in CI/CD, DevOps, and GitHub Actions, the developer automated packaging and release processes while ensuring alignment with Homebrew standards. The project utilized Shell and YAML for scripting and configuration, resulting in improved maintainability, expanded hardware compatibility, and a more efficient setup workflow for Raspberry Pi deployments.
