During July 2025, Riceyj Lee developed MT8195 UFS support for the geerlingguy/linux repository by adding a Universal Flash Storage Host Controller Interface node to the device tree. This work involved Device Tree Source (DTS) modifications and kernel development to expose a Multi-Queue (MCQ) disable control property, allowing configurable UFS hardware support on the MediaTek MT8195 platform. By integrating with existing SCSI and ARM64 workflows, Riceyj improved storage compatibility and performance readiness for embedded systems using this hardware. The focus was on feature delivery rather than bug fixes, demonstrating depth in embedded systems engineering and platform-specific kernel configuration.
