Rida Hanif developed the Kdump Remote SSH Storage feature for the sonic-net/sonic-buildimage repository, focusing on network device management and system configuration. Over the course of a month, Rida implemented enhancements in yang to enable remote collection and storage of Kdump core dumps via SSH. The solution introduced configurable options for enabling remote SSH, specifying the SSH connection string, and defining the private key path, allowing for secure and centralized crash dump management. This work addressed the need for improved data accessibility and reduced local storage usage, supporting faster root-cause analysis and more efficient post-incident diagnostics for network devices.
