Worked on the basecamp/omarchy repository to implement Intel Arc GPU video acceleration support, focusing on expanding hardware compatibility and improving multimedia performance. Delivered this feature by installing the intel-media-driver for Arc 130T/140T GPUs and updating system administration scripts in Shell to recognize new GPU types. Collaborated with Copilot for AI-assisted development, which enhanced code quality and maintainability. This work established a foundation for broader Intel GPU support, reducing future integration effort and support risk. The changes enable faster, GPU-accelerated video processing for Arc GPUs, addressing hardware-related issues and ensuring the system remains adaptable to evolving Intel graphics technologies.
