Worked on enhancing the build system for the radiocosmology/draco repository by introducing DNS-driven functionality through careful configuration management. Focused on updating the pyproject.toml file to add dnspython as a dependency, ensuring that DNS lookups are reliably supported during both build and runtime phases. This change addressed the need for robust DNS resolution in downstream services and components that depend on the project. The work primarily involved build system configuration using TOML and dependency management, with an emphasis on long-term reliability rather than immediate bug fixes. No bugs were addressed during this period, as the focus remained on foundational improvements.
