During September 2025, River Ma enhanced the nasa/opera-sds repository by updating its GitHub issue template to include new product and venue options for processing requests. This configuration management work, implemented using YAML, enabled more granular categorization and improved triage of incoming issues. By refining the template structure, River facilitated clearer analytics and more efficient routing of requests, reducing ambiguity in issue tracking. The changes were validated against repository standards and aligned with project governance, reflecting a methodical approach. While the scope was focused on a single feature, the update addressed a concrete workflow need and improved process transparency for the team.
