Over a two-month period, R. Moelker enhanced the labd/commercetools-node-mock repository by developing dynamic external pricing for cart line items and introducing high-precision money support. Using Node.js and TypeScript, he implemented features that allow external price setting with currency validation and fallback mechanisms to platform pricing, improving pricing flexibility and resilience. He also expanded the system’s monetary modeling by adding HighPrecisionMoney alongside CentPrecisionMoney, updating APIs and workflows to support precise currency calculations in carts and orders. The work demonstrated depth in API development and full stack engineering, addressing complex pricing scenarios and reducing rounding errors in mock environments.
