The developer implemented new features in TypeScript to support custom fields for shipping addresses and enabled the removal of shipping methods directly within the cart, increasing flexibility for e-commerce integrations. The technical approach focused on improving API fidelity and aligning mock behavior with production shipping APIs, which facilitates more accurate integration testing and smoother checkout flows.
