Worked on enhancing the stability and reliability of the WiZ Light configuration flow in the mib1185/homeassistant-core repository. Focused on backend development using Python and async programming, the work addressed resource leaks and timeout issues by implementing robust UDP connection cleanup and comprehensive error handling. Added finally blocks and improved logic to ensure sockets were properly closed and resources released across all configuration steps, directly reducing config-timeouts and improving device setup reliability. Emphasized unit testing to validate these changes, aligning the solution with business goals of dependable device integration and a smoother user experience for both end users and integrations.
