Worked on the go-gitea/gitea repository to deliver RPM Errata support within the built-in RPM registry, enabling the tracking of security advisories, bug fixes, and enhancements for RPM packages. Developed new data structures and API endpoints in Go to manage and upload errata information, integrating JSON and XML handling to ensure compatibility with updateinfo.xml standards. The implementation aligned with existing registry workflows, improving data consistency and timeliness for future advisories and updates. All changes were tracked and documented for traceability, providing a foundation for enhanced security and update management within the RPM registry’s backend infrastructure. No bugs were reported.
