Worked on enhancing the OpAMP integration within the signalfx/splunk-otel-collector repository by enabling the automatic passing of Collector resource attributes to the OpAMP extension in default configurations. This update, implemented using Go and YAML, focused on improving telemetry reliability and resource governance across agent and gateway deployments. The approach involved migrating configuration keys and updating tests to validate the new telemetry structure, ensuring alignment with SDK API v0.3 and project requirements. Documentation and traceability were maintained through changelog updates and issue linking. The work emphasized backend development, configuration management, and testing to streamline observability and reduce manual configuration efforts.
