Worked on enhancing Windows readiness and operator control within the OpenTelemetry ecosystem, focusing on backend development and distributed systems using Go and YAML. Delivered two features across the signalfx/splunk-otel-collector and open-telemetry/opentelemetry-collector-contrib repositories. Implemented native Windows support for the OpAMP Supervisor, enabling streamlined deployment and management of the Splunk OpenTelemetry Collector. Added a configurable option for including Collector resource attributes in the OpAMP extension, updating configuration schemas and templates. Expanded end-to-end test coverage and improved signal handling in the supervisor’s main process, increasing reliability and reducing deployment risk for production environments across platforms. No bugs were reported.
