In 2025-10, delivered end-to-end Istio deployment foundations and service-mesh integration via Helm across two repos, enabling standardized, scalable Istio deployments and reliable network exposure. Implemented base Istio Helm charts and CRDs with cert-manager and image updates; added a configurable Istio gateway proxy image; integrated Istio as a Helm-based application for Kommander with Istio 1.23.6, including default ingress gateway settings and app-labeler updates. These changes reduce deployment time, increase flexibility, and improve networking reliability for Istio-enabled workloads.
