Worked on modernizing the build system for the ankidroid/Anki-Android repository, focusing on updating the Kotlin build configuration to address the deprecation of the jvmTarget setting. The approach involved replacing outdated configuration options with those compatible with the latest Kotlin standards, using Gradle and Kotlin as core technologies. This update improved build reliability and ensured future compatibility with upcoming Kotlin toolchain releases. The changes were integrated into the continuous integration workflow, aligning documentation and CI processes with the new build setup. No bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on technical modernization and future-proofing the Android development environment.
