Ioan Rosu developed backend infrastructure for flashcard progress tracking in the IP-A2-2025/Quizzy repository, enabling robust CRUD and query operations to enhance user progress visibility. He designed and implemented the controller, DTO, mapper, model, repository, and service layers using Java, Spring Boot, and JPA, ensuring maintainable and scalable architecture. To improve reliability, Ioan established comprehensive unit testing with JUnit and Mockito, particularly for the FlashcardProgress components and the PDFtoText utility, which processes PDF files into text via image conversion and OCR. His work focused on foundational features and test coverage, reducing future defect risk and supporting product scalability.
