Roland Stens developed a synthetic monitoring and automated testing framework for the bcgov/bcregistry-sre repository, targeting GCP-based BC Registries and Online Services. He implemented end-to-end monitoring of authentication flows using BCSC and IDIR, integrating Google Cloud Functions and deployment scripts to create reproducible monitoring environments. Leveraging Node.js, Bash scripting, and Puppeteer, Roland designed comprehensive tests that enhance observability and enable early detection of issues in critical authentication workflows. This work improved production readiness by supporting faster incident response and higher uptime, demonstrating depth in cloud infrastructure automation and a strong focus on reliability for essential government services.
