Developed a visualization enhancement for the macrosynergy/macrosynergy repository, introducing optional footnote arguments with customizable font sizes to the main view functions. This feature allows descriptive text to be displayed in the bottom-left of figures, improving clarity in generated reports and dashboards. The implementation involved Python and matplotlib, with a focus on robust data visualization pipelines. Comprehensive unit tests were added to verify correct footnote passing and rendering, expanding test coverage and ensuring regression safety. The work emphasized code quality and end-to-end reliability, demonstrating proficiency in Python programming, visualization techniques, and test-driven development within a collaborative repository environment.
