Worked on the bigcommerce/cornerstone repository to upgrade the project’s linting infrastructure, focusing on migrating ESLint to version 8. Addressed configuration management by updating the parser, options, and rules within the .eslintrc file, ensuring compatibility with the latest linting standards. Adapted existing JavaScript tests to align with new ESLint behaviors, which helped prevent future lint-related failures and stabilized continuous integration workflows. The work centered on improving code quality and reducing risk associated with outdated tooling, leveraging skills in JavaScript, ESLint, and testing. Delivered a targeted tooling upgrade that provided measurable business value without introducing major feature changes or roadblocks.
