Worked on the eth-cscs/alps-uenv repository to deliver a Kokkos-enabled build and deployment configuration for LAMMPS on the Eiger high-performance computing system. Focused on system configuration and build systems, the work involved specifying compilers and dependencies such as GCC, Cray-MPICH, Python, and Kokkos, ensuring compatibility with Eiger’s architecture. Developed Eiger-specific ReFrame build and run settings to support reproducible and optimized job launches for HPC workloads. The implementation was documented to guide seamless integration and deployment. No major bugs were reported during this period, reflecting a targeted effort on enabling performance-oriented, system-specific deployment using yaml for configuration management.
