Worked on enabling LoRa communication for the Luckfox Pico Max within the meshtastic/firmware repository by developing a dedicated configuration for the Waveshare Pico LoRa SX1262 TCXO HAT. Focused on embedded systems and configuration management, the work involved creating and integrating a YAML-based meshtasticd configuration to support new hardware, ensuring successful initialization, broadcast, and direct messaging using the SX1262 chipset. Hardware validation confirmed reliable LoRa operation, laying the foundation for broader device onboarding and improved network coverage. This effort enhanced the firmware’s adaptability for field deployments, leveraging LoRa technology and configuration management to extend the platform’s communication capabilities.
