During the month, contributed to the Azure/AKS repository by developing a self-managed AKS cost export tool that generates daily CSV reports of AKS cluster costs. This solution integrated Azure Cost Management with AKS Cost Analysis to provide end-to-end cost visibility, supporting improved budgeting and governance. The implementation involved Dockerizing the deployment, creating automated shell scripts, and writing comprehensive Markdown documentation to streamline configuration and onboarding. Repository management was addressed by removing redundant cost analysis export files, reducing complexity and maintenance overhead. The work emphasized CI-friendly, repeatable deployments and leveraged skills in Go, Kubernetes, and cloud computing to deliver operational improvements.
