Worked on enhancing network management capabilities in the truefoundry/infra-charts repository by extending tfy-agent permissions to include Istio gateway resources. This involved updating the ClusterRole configuration to grant access to both 'gateways' and 'virtualservices', allowing the tfy-agent to interact with and manage Istio gateways for improved automation and governance. The solution was implemented as a targeted adjustment to Helm chart YAML files, leveraging skills in Kubernetes resource management and Helm templating. The work focused on enabling automated, governance-compliant network operations, resulting in a minor but effective configuration change that addressed evolving infrastructure requirements without introducing new bugs.
