Developed a scalable prototype environment provisioning capability for the Ministry of Justice cloud platform, focusing on the cloud-platform-environments repository. Delivered an automated solution that creates dedicated Kubernetes namespaces with essential infrastructure, including RBAC, resource quotas, and network policies, using Terraform and YAML for infrastructure as code. Integrated AWS resource provisioning and GitHub automation to streamline environment setup, aligning with platform security and reproducibility standards. This work reduced manual setup efforts and enabled faster, isolated prototype testing. No critical bugs were reported during the period, and the initial implementation established a repeatable, standards-compliant flow for validating new features in controlled environments.
December 2025 focused on delivering a scalable, isolated prototype environment provisioning capability for the Ministry of Justice cloud platform. Key feature delivered: Laa Claim and Assess Prototype Environment Provisioning, which creates a dedicated Kubernetes namespace along with essential infrastructure (role bindings, resource quotas, network policies) and Terraform configurations to provision AWS resources and integrate with GitHub for automated provisioning. This work enhances reproducibility, security, and speed of prototype testing by providing an automated, standards-aligned environment path. Impact: established a repeatable provisioning flow for prototype environments, reducing manual setup efforts and enabling faster validation of new features in a controlled, permissioned space. No critical bugs reported in this cycle; remaining work focuses on further hardening and expanding environment templates. Technologies/skills demonstrated: Kubernetes namespaces, RBAC, network policies, resource quotas; Terraform for AWS infrastructure as code; AWS cloud resources integration; GitHub integration for automation; platform standards adherence and IaC practices.
