During the month, contributed experimental MySQL 8.4 support to the cloudfoundry/cf-deployment repository, focusing on enabling early compatibility testing and risk mitigation ahead of a potential default upgrade. Developed a dedicated BOSH ops file to configure Percona XtraDB Cluster for MySQL 8.4, leveraging YAML for declarative infrastructure management. Extended the CI/CD pipeline by integrating a validation job that utilizes the new use-mysql-version-8.4.yml configuration, ensuring automated test coverage for the updated database version. This work enhanced the deployment’s flexibility and reliability, allowing teams to validate MySQL 8.4 compatibility within Cloud Foundry environments before broader adoption or migration.
