Sameer Nandu enhanced BGP policy behavior testing coverage in the openconfig/featureprofiles repository by updating test scripts to better reflect default policy behavior for both external and internal BGP neighbors. Using Go and leveraging his expertise in network engineering and testing, he incorporated configurations for varying AS number widths and both IPv4 and IPv6 scenarios. Sameer adjusted expected prefix counts based on neighbor type and policy application, which improved test accuracy and reduced false negatives. His work reduced the risk of misconfiguration and enabled faster, more reliable validation before releases, demonstrating a focused and methodical approach to protocol testing.
