Worked on the kinde-auth-nextjs repository to enhance authentication reliability and codebase quality using React and TypeScript. Addressed a critical issue in the authentication flow by ensuring the loading state remains accurate when a user is authenticated but tokens are still being decoded, preventing premature UI transitions and potential inconsistencies. Improved maintainability by performing comprehensive linting and formatting cleanup, restructuring imports, and clarifying code structure. Added targeted unit tests to validate authentication logic, reducing the risk of regressions. This work resulted in a more robust login experience, cleaner code for future contributors, and improved test coverage for ongoing front end development.
