Worked on the google/error-prone repository to streamline the codebase by removing deprecated Gin-related code and consolidating module checks under Guice. Focused on code cleanup and deprecation handling using Java, the work eliminated dead code paths and outdated build rule references, which improved build reliability and reduced unnecessary runtime complexity. By unifying module verification logic with Guice, the changes reduced code fragmentation and laid the foundation for future Guice-driven cleanups. This approach strengthened maintainability and aligned the project with its deprecation strategy, enabling faster future iterations and smoother onboarding for new contributors without introducing user-facing features during the period.
