Developed and released a time-off request editing and update notification feature for the OneCommunityGlobal/HGNRest repository, enabling users to modify and save their own time-off requests while maintaining administrative oversight through refined authorization logic. The work included implementing backend logic in Node.js and Express.js to support user-initiated updates and ensure that notifications are sent to relevant stakeholders when requests are changed. Additionally, addressed a backend issue with the Blue Square Scheduler viewing flow to ensure compatibility with the new editing functionality. All changes were tracked for traceability, demonstrating a methodical approach to backend development using JavaScript and related technologies.
