Developed an AMI Authorization Error Classification feature for the aws/karpenter-provider-aws repository, focusing on improving error handling during EC2 instance launches. The solution detects and categorizes AMI-permission errors, such as cases where users are not authorized for specific images, and provides targeted feedback to streamline troubleshooting. By leveraging Go and applying cloud computing expertise, the implementation enables more precise user guidance and reduces support overhead. This work enhances provisioning reliability by allowing faster triage of authorization issues, demonstrating a methodical approach to error classification and customer-facing problem resolution within AWS environments. No bug fixes were recorded during this period.
