In March 2025, Sasha enhanced the fecgov/fecfile-web-api repository by integrating DRF Spectacular to automate and clarify API documentation. Using Python and Django REST Framework, Sasha improved serializer schema generation and excluded non-essential endpoints from the documentation, streamlining the API surface for external partners. The work included a cleanup of DRF warnings, which stabilized the documentation tooling and reduced maintenance overhead. By focusing on backend development and API documentation, Sasha’s contributions enabled faster onboarding for integrators and minimized support needs. The depth of the work lay in refining both the technical accuracy and maintainability of the project’s API contracts.
