During their tenure, Schapron enhanced CI security scanning for the centreon/centreon-collect repository by expanding the gitleaks whitelist patterns in the .gitleaks.toml configuration. This work focused on improving risk coverage and detection accuracy by introducing new regex patterns to identify dummy tests, base64 encoded strings, and agent tokens within the codebase. Leveraging skills in CI/CD, configuration management, and security, Schapron’s approach enabled earlier identification of sensitive data leaks without impacting build performance. The solution was implemented using TOML for configuration, reflecting a targeted and technically sound contribution that addressed a specific security need within the continuous integration pipeline.
