Worked on the HabanaAI/vllm-fork repository to streamline plugin enablement by unifying requirements for no-device configurations. Consolidated previously separate CPU-specific requirements lists into a single common requirements file, simplifying dependency management and reducing maintenance overhead. This change, implemented in Python, focused on improving build management and ensuring more reliable continuous integration processes. By adopting a centralized approach to dependency specification, the work facilitated easier onboarding of new plugins and accelerated their adoption within the project. The update enhanced the maintainability of the build system and contributed to a more consistent and efficient development workflow for plugin integration and testing.
