Over three months, Sejust contributed to the cubefs/cubefs repository by building distributed caching and deployment tooling for the Flashnode platform. He designed and implemented cluster-wide cache management with Bloom-filter data structures, unified HTTP header management, and robust CLI utilities, all using Go, Docker, and Shell scripting. His work included refactoring error handling for CLI commands, enabling remote caching configuration for volume management, and introducing a Ping utility for network diagnostics. By expanding test coverage and automating deployment workflows, Sejust improved reliability, maintainability, and scalability of backend services, demonstrating depth in distributed systems, API development, and concurrent programming throughout the project.
February 2024 monthly summary for cubefs/cubefs. Delivered a key SDK feature: Unified HTTP Header Management, introducing a new HTTP client structure to support common headers across requests and refactor existing methods to utilize header management for consistent header application. This groundwork improves maintainability and scalability of HTTP interactions across services, enabling easier future enhancements and cross-service header consistency.

December 2023 – cubefs/cubefs: Delivered Flashnode platform core and caching enhancements along with end-to-end deployment, CLI tooling, and testing infrastructure for Flashnode. The work establishes a distributed flashnode service with cluster-wide cache management, topology APIs, and Bloom-filter enhanced data structures, enabling efficient cache management and synchronized state across the cluster. Introduced SDK-based administration and user-defined slot handling. Implemented Dockerized deployment and CLI tooling for flashnode/flashgroup management, HTTP argument parsing, and stable deployment workflows. Expanded test coverage with flash cache and flash node scenarios to raise confidence in production deployments. The combined outcomes improve cache hit rates, reduce operational overhead, and enable scalable, observable deployments.
