During March 2025, Fripsidenice contributed to the DaoCloud/dce-charts-repackage repository by upgrading the cert-manager Helm chart from version 1.16.1 to 1.16.4. This work focused on enhancing release readiness and maintaining chart stability for Kubernetes deployments. By updating Chart.yaml and values.yaml using YAML, Fripsidenice enabled access to newer cert-manager features and security improvements, ensuring better alignment with current Kubernetes capabilities. The upgrade improved deployment maintainability and simplified future upgrades for downstream users. Leveraging DevOps practices and Helm expertise, Fripsidenice delivered a targeted, well-scoped feature that addressed evolving infrastructure requirements without introducing regressions or unnecessary complexity.
