During January 2025, Shaps Suk worked on the ghostty-org/ghostty repository, focusing on resolving a critical usability regression in the Ghosty Terminal application. Addressing a fullscreen behavior issue, Shaps implemented a targeted fix in Swift and Zig to ensure that toggling terminal visibility is ignored when the application is in fullscreen mode. This change prevents accidental hiding of terminal windows, thereby preserving user workflow and reducing confusion. The solution was scoped specifically to fullscreen logic, resulting in a low-risk, maintainable update that improved user experience and application stability on macOS. No new features were added during this period.
