Sharadha Shivakumar enhanced the job search functionality for the OneCommunityGlobal/HGNRest repository by developing a feature that enables case-insensitive search across job titles and descriptions. Using JavaScript and leveraging backend technologies such as Node.js and Express.js, Sharadha aligned backend search capabilities with new frontend requirements, allowing users to retrieve more relevant job listings. The implementation included updating the getJobs and getJobSummaries endpoints and introducing a summaries field to the createJob endpoint, supporting richer job data. This work addressed the need for improved data richness and search flexibility, demonstrating a focused approach to backend REST API development within a short timeframe.
