Worked on the openmrs-esm-patient-management repository to resolve a critical calendar navigation issue affecting scheduling workflows. Addressed a bug where the previous and next buttons failed to update the displayed month by implementing robust state management for the selected date, ensuring the calendar view remained synchronized with user navigation. Enhanced the reliability of the calendar component by expanding the testing suite, which now validates navigation behavior and guards against regressions. Utilized React for front end development and applied both JavaScript and TypeScript to deliver a maintainable solution. The work improved user trust in the scheduling interface by increasing consistency and test coverage.
