Shihuafeng worked on the apache/seatunnel repository, focusing on enhancing ORC write performance by optimizing the OrcWriteStrategy component. Using Java and back end development skills, Shihuafeng improved the efficiency of batch writing and vectorized row batch handling, which increased data ingestion throughput and reduced resource pressure during write operations. The technical approach centered on refining memory utilization and streamlining the data ingestion path, resulting in more effective batch processing for ORC sinks. Although the work spanned a single feature over one month, the targeted changes demonstrated a solid understanding of performance optimization and maintainable code practices, supported by unit testing.
