Worked on the Shopify/nixpkgs repository to deliver a stable integration of Buildstream by introducing Buildbox as both a runtime and build-time dependency. This ensured Buildstream could reliably locate Buildbox in the PATH during all phases, improving the build system’s reliability and reproducibility. Addressed recent build failures by disabling a problematic test in the Buildstream suite, restoring build stability and enabling successful package builds. The work focused on build system configuration and package management using Nix, with careful attention to test stabilization and workflow improvements. These changes contributed to faster feedback cycles and reduced maintenance overhead for the build process.
