Worked on the grafana/scheduler-plugins repository to enhance security and maintainability by focusing on dependency management and Go module updates. Addressed a critical bug by upgrading core and indirect dependencies, specifically targeting libraries such as github.com/containers/common, github.com/spf13/pflag, and github.com/stretchr/testify, to mitigate known CVEs and strengthen the project’s security posture. Ensured that these updates maintained compatibility with the main branch, preserving feature parity and release stability. Leveraged skills in Go, security patching, and CI/CD validation to reinforce compliance and reliability, resulting in a more secure codebase without disrupting existing functionality or the established release process.
