Focused on improving access control reliability, the developer updated the configuration to use the resource 'id' instead of 'name', ensuring that IAM bindings correctly reference the intended resources and preventing misconfigurations in production environments. This change resolved IAM replacement issues that could have led to incorrect permissions, thereby enhancing the security posture of Pub/Sub bindings. The work was implemented using Terraform and HCL, leveraging expertise in Infrastructure as Code and Google Cloud Platform to deliver a targeted and effective bug fix.
