During February 2026, Sam Lewis enhanced the documentation for the aws_lakeformation_data_cells_filter resource in the opentofu/terraform-provider-aws repository. Focusing on clarity and usability, Sam used Markdown and technical writing skills to add detailed usage examples and clarify parameter requirements, specifically addressing the mutual exclusivity of filter_expression and all_rows_wildcard, as well as the behavior of excluded_column_names. This work aimed to reduce misconfigurations and support overhead by making the documentation more accessible for both new and experienced Terraform users. While no code-level features or bug fixes were delivered, the contribution improved onboarding and maintainability within the project.
