During February 2026, Bysk focused on improving text editing reliability in the facebook/lexical repository by addressing a critical Safari-specific bug affecting IME backspace deletion. Using JavaScript and front end development skills, Bysk fixed an issue where selected text could not be deleted after IME input, ensuring consistent behavior across browsers. The solution involved updating event handling logic in LexicalEvents to robustly manage state transitions during backspace operations following IME composition. To prevent regressions, Bysk also implemented targeted regression tests. This work demonstrated a strong understanding of browser compatibility challenges and contributed to a more stable, user-friendly editing experience.
