Worked on the vmware/govmomi repository to deliver multi-writer shared disks support within the CNS AttachDetach workflow, enabling advanced storage configurations for clustered workloads. The engineering approach involved extending the CnsVolumeAttachDetachSpec with new fields to accommodate shared disk parameters, ensuring the CNS client could manage multi-writer volume scenarios. Comprehensive end-to-end tests were implemented to validate attach and detach operations with these new configurations, focusing on reliability and correctness. The work was carried out using Go, leveraging expertise in storage management and the vSphere API. This update prepares the CNS client for more complex and scalable storage use cases.
