Worked on the hashicorp/terraform-provider-azurerm repository to address a reliability issue in network security rule management. Focused on backend development using Go and Terraform, the main contribution was a targeted bug fix that introduced case-insensitive handling for application security group IDs within both azurerm_network_security_rule and azurerm_network_security_group resources. This change reduced the risk of misconfigurations caused by inconsistent ID casing, thereby improving the reliability and correctness of security rules across different environments. By consolidating this fix within the provider, the work enhanced consistency for users and minimized the need for manual troubleshooting related to security group rule mismatches.
