Worked on the nesquena/hermes-webui repository to deliver Japanese localization for the Hermes Web UI, focusing on expanding internationalization and improving accessibility. Implemented a new Japanese locale by translating 828 keys in the i18n.js file, carefully preserving placeholders and template literals to maintain code integrity. Used JavaScript and front-end development skills to ensure the UI could seamlessly switch languages, validating changes live in testing and staging environments. Enhanced the localization workflow to support future locales, reducing ongoing localization effort. All work was tracked with traceable commits, emphasizing code quality, maintainability, and readiness for broader international user reach.
